Out of Service is an east coast indie rock outfit signed to the label Enjoy the Ride Records.
Mike Capuano (vocals), Teebs Williams (guitar), Ken Bond (drums), and Brian McGovern (bass), synthesize raw emotional energy and indie sensibilities into a sound described by Andrew Sacher of Brooklyn Vegan as, “the kind of dark, soaring, ambitious emo that bands like Straylight Run and their peers made in the mid 2000s”. Out of Service dropped their sophomore effort, Burden, in late 2019 and their 3rd album The Ground Beneath Me in 2022. Their new album, Reflections & Refractions Volume 1 is a sonic departure from previous work, incorporating a more acoustic and intimate sound while continuing to grapple with themes of mental health, racial prejudice, the loss of loved ones, and the frailty of life.
